Yes! When questions arise about a child’s learning, behaviour, or school experience, a psychological assessment can clarify whether their challenges reflect a diagnosis related to learning, such as a learning disability, ADHD, or other neurodevelopmental differences. The term "psychoeducational assessment" is often used when questions relate specifically to a child's learning profile.
A psychological assessment includes the elements of a psychoeducational assessment and also explores strengths and needs on a more comprehensive level to understand mental health, emotional, and behavioural functioning as well.
We have two medium sized dogs on staff who each have their own therapeutic specialty. They usually work together however you can request one or the other and they work free of charge. Check out the ‘Our Team’ page!
